Olivier Lucea / Dance

French. Born in Bayonne in 1972, he studied ballet with Victor Ullate, then at the Hamburg Ballet School until 1991. He was then engaged as a soloist by the Dusseldorf Opemhaus, the Zurich Opemhaus, the Munich Staatballett and the Compania Nacional de Danza in Madrid.

In 2001, after joining les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, he is dancing major roles in Maillot's creations: a friend in Cinderella, Mercutio and an acolyte in Romeo and Juliet, Thisbet and Puck in le Songe, a dog in Œil pour Œil, Miniatures, Men's dance, Vers un Pays Sage, Opus 40. He also interprets The Four Temperaments by George Balanchine, The Second Detail, In the Middle… somewhat elevated, Ennemy in the Figure by W. Forsythe, Signing off by Paul Lightfoot and Sol Leon, No More Play by Jiri Kylian, In Memoriam and Mea Culpa by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Boléro by Maurice Béjart.
