Olaf Reinecke / Dance

He studied sport science - with the main focus on dance - at the University Hamburg. As a ballroomdancer he participated at the European Championship semi-final. He was also very interested in contemporary dance and worked with choreographers such as Jan Pusch, Britta Lieberknecht, Pierre Wyss, Ilona Paszthy, Chris Haring and Antje Pfundtner. As an assistant, Olaf Reinecke attended to several projects: the chinaproject “Outlanders” (Wen Hui/Antje Pfundtner) and other projects from Victoria Hauke, Anja Kolacek, Cocoon Dance and labor G.RAS.

He also worked for some theatres (Köln, Oldenburg, Bonn, Lübeck…) and for directors such as Katharina Thalbach, Andrea Schwalbach, Vera Nemirova and Günter Krämer. Olaf Reinecke acts as choreographer and in 2010 he founded –together with choreographer and dancer Bärbel Stenzenberger– the dance company “BO-Komplex”.

He also teaches dance at several national and international institutions and deals with videodance and light concepts.
